Poetic Slimbook Case for Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2In a previous post, I mentioned that my employer at Computer Services was allowing me to use a Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 for both work and personal use.  This tablet has greatly changed how I use technology on a daily basis, however I found that I was still limited do to the flimsiness of the tablet.  In fact, I even had to send two tablets back to Lenovo as they developed hardware problems from just normal use.

I finally decided to spend some of my own money to purchase a case for the Lenovo to see if that would help make the tablet more durable.  I was primarily concerned with finding a case that was lightweight, but still protected the screen and weak back.  I also was curious to see if any of the cases I found would help me get a better screen angle as I was not pleased with the angle the Thinkpad Bluetooth Keyboard provided.

After a bit of research, I decided to purchase the Poetic Slimbook Case for Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2.  I have had the case for nearly three weeks now and I have been incredibly pleased.  While the case does increase the  weight and size of the tablet, it is not incredibly heavy and it has provided all of the support I need.  It has been so freeing to be able to take the tablet anywhere and not be worried about damaging the tablet.  The built-in stand allows me to choose two angles:  one nearly upright and one lower down.  I can easily access all of my ports and the case in no way hinders the touch screen.  An added perk is that the cover of the case turns on and off the screen automatically, so I don't have to worry anymore about the tablet turning on accidentally in my bag.  I am thoroughly pleased with this case and would highly recommend it to all tablet users.  Having a case has really made all the difference and I am finding that I have been able to use my tablet even more as a result.

Manvex Slim Leather Folio Case for Microsoft Surface ProTwo days ago, I helped a coworker find and purchase a case for his Microsoft Surface.  We chose the Manvex Slim Leather Folio Case for Microsoft Surface Pro.  In an earlier post about my experience with the Microsoft Surface, I had mentioned that I was not pleased with the way the stylus attached and wished the stand was adjustable.  This case seems to have provided a solution to both of those problems.  It has a pen holder on the top of the Surface that better attaches the stylus and allows you to have the stylus stored away and charge your tablet simultaneously.  It also has a firm adjustable stand that allows you to chose any angle you want.  While I have not had too much hands-on experience with this case, my coworker has been very pleased with this purchase and I believe I would recommend this case as well.
